In more depth

The practical detail

How Does UK Local SEO Actually Work?

For most small businesses, it starts with your Google Business Profile. Think of it as your modern-day Yellow Pages entry, but far more important. It’s your digital shop front and what people see in map searches. We make sure every detail is correct, from services offered to posting regular updates, just like you’d change a sign in your real-world window.

Beyond that, Google trusts consistency. Your business name, address, and phone number (NAP) need to be identical everywhere online, from your own website to smaller directories. Mismatched details create confusion for search engines and customers. It's tedious work to check and fix, but it builds a solid foundation.

Technical SEO is Like Car Maintenance

With a background in mechanics, we see the parallels daily. A website needs a regular service to perform well. We check its speed, because nobody waits for a slow page to load. We test mobile usability, because most of your customers will find you on their phones. We also scan for crawl errors—fault codes from Google telling us what’s broken under the bonnet.

You don't need to be a developer to run a website, but ignoring the warning lights eventually leads to a breakdown. Our job is to handle the technical servicing so you can focus on your customers. It prevents small issues from becoming major problems that take your site off the road.

Which SEO Plan is Right for Me?

Our SEO plans start at £199 per month. This is designed for a local business in a less competitive area, where the goal is to get the fundamentals right. We focus on optimising your Google Business Profile, making on-page improvements, and ensuring you're visible for your core local services.

Our £399 and £799 plans are for businesses in tougher markets or with national reach. This involves more intensive work: creating content that answers customer questions, earning links from reputable sites, and continuous technical monitoring. The more competitive your industry, the more fuel and engineering it takes to get ahead.

Do I Need SEO or a New Website?

We get this question a lot. SEO is about optimising the website you already have. If your site is reasonably modern and works well, but just isn't getting found, then SEO is the right tool. It’s like tuning a decent, healthy engine to get more performance from it.

However, if your website is old, slow, and unusable on a phone, then SEO is a waste of money. You cannot tune an engine that's seized solid. In that situation, you need to fix the foundation with a proper website build. We are always straight about which you need; there's no point us taking your money if the site itself is the problem.
