SEO without the smoke and mirrors.

In short
We fix the technical foundations, build pages for the services and areas you sell in, and report each month on what changed. No rankings are ever guaranteed — by us or anyone.

Common questions

How long does SEO take to work?

Technical fixes can show within weeks. Competitive search terms usually take three to six months of consistent work. Anyone promising page one in 30 days is guessing or lying.

Can you guarantee rankings?

No, and nor can anyone else — Google does not sell or guarantee positions. What we can do is fix the things that demonstrably hold sites back and report honestly on what changes.

Do I need a monthly plan?

Not necessarily. Some businesses only need the foundations fixed once. Monthly work makes sense when you are competing in a busy market or want content published regularly.

What do I actually receive each month?

A plain-English report: what was done, what moved, what is next. No 40-page PDF of graphs nobody reads.

What are SEO services, exactly?

SEO services are the work that helps Google understand your website and trust it enough to show it: fixing technical problems, writing pages for the things you sell, sorting your Google Business Profile, building genuine links and checking what moves each month.

How much do SEO services cost in the UK?

For a small business, monthly SEO in the UK typically runs from about £200 to £1,000. Ours is £199, £399 or £799 a month depending on how competitive your market is, with no long contract.

Is SEO worth it for a small business?

Usually, yes — if people search for what you sell in the areas you work. It's slower than paid ads, but the visits keep coming after the work is done. If almost nobody searches for your service, we'll tell you and suggest something else.

What's the difference between SEO and local SEO?

SEO is about ranking your website in general. Local SEO is about showing up for searches with a place in them, or 'near me', including the map results. Most small businesses need both, and local usually pays off first.

Can AI do SEO for me?

AI tools help with research and first drafts, and we use them. They don't know your business, can't win you genuine reviews or links, and confidently get facts wrong. A person still needs to check every word and make the decisions.

In more depth

The practical detail

Why trust a former mechanic with your SEO?

Websites and car engines have a lot in common. When they aren't performing, you need a practical diagnosis to find the root cause, not just a guess that wastes time and money. Our founder, Robert, trained as a motor mechanic and worked in a garage in Cupar, Fife. He brings that same diagnostic, hands-on approach to your website.

We don't talk in jargon or hide behind confusing reports. We get under the bonnet of your site, find the specific faults holding it back, and then explain the fix in plain English. We see SEO as a series of logical jobs to make your website better for your customers and, in turn, for Google. It's about fixing what's broken and tuning what works.

How our process is different

Our founder's dyslexia and ADHD have shaped how we work, and it's a genuine strength. It means we cannot afford to be disorganised or rely on memory. We depend on solid, repeatable systems and the best modern tools to manage every project with focus and efficiency.

This benefits you directly. It's why our reports are simple and to the point. It's why we focus on the fundamental tasks that we know will make a difference, filtering out the noise and distractions. You get a no-waffle service born from a necessity to be clear, organised, and effective.

When is a website rebuild the right answer?

You wouldn't spend hundreds on tuning an engine that has a cracked block. The same is true for websites. If your current site is built on old technology, is painfully slow, or is structured so poorly that search engines can't make sense of it, monthly SEO work is a bad investment.

We will always give you an honest assessment. If your website's foundation is the real problem, we'll tell you straight. A website rebuild isn't an upsell; it's often the most sensible and cost-effective long-term solution. A new site, built correctly for SEO from the start, makes all future marketing work cheaper and more effective.

What does 'good content' actually look like?

Good content is more than just a weekly blog post. For most of the businesses we work with, like garages, tradespeople, or hire companies, it's about creating practical pages that generate phone calls and enquiries. It has a job to do.

This means clear service pages that detail exactly what you do, the problems you solve, and the specific areas you cover. It's a location page that proves you're a real, local business, not a faceless national chain. It might be a simple gallery of your finished work or a guide that answers a customer's immediate question. We create content that proves your expertise and persuades a potential customer to get in touch.

SEO is part of a bigger picture

Effective search optimisation doesn't happen in a vacuum. It's directly connected to your website's design, your branding, and your business's reputation. A slow, confusing website will never rank well, no matter how much SEO it gets.

That's why our technical SEO work goes hand-in-hand with our website design services. A professional logo and clear branding build trust, which is a factor for users and search engines. And managing your online reviews, part of our reputation management work, is essential for winning in local search. We look at the whole puzzle, not just one piece.
