Case studies

How the work actually gets done.

Three projects written up properly: the problem, the plan, the build, the SEO work and what we learned. No invented traffic graphs — where figures exist they live in the client's Search Console, not in our marketing.

In short
Each case study covers the challenge, the strategy, the website build, the SEO and technical work, the content approach and an honest account of where the project stands.

The practical detail

How we approach a project

Before a mechanic starts replacing parts, they listen to the engine, plug in the diagnostic tool and figure out the root cause. We do the same for your website. We don't start with a solution in mind; we start with a thorough diagnosis of the problem. What isn't working? Is it a lack of enquiries, the wrong type of customers, or just a feeling that your online presence isn't pulling its weight?

We begin by listening to you, then we dig into the data. We use tools to crawl your website just like Google does, looking for technical errors. We analyse your analytics to see how visitors actually use the site. We research your competitors and, most importantly, we study the language your potential customers are using to search for services like yours. Our founder, Robert, has ADHD and dyslexia; this has made him exceptionally good at using modern tools to build clear, methodical processes. It’s about seeing the patterns and building a logical plan, not just throwing ideas at a wall. Only once we have this complete picture do we develop a straightforward plan. It's a practical blueprint covering site structure, content, technical fixes and SEO.

The common problems we solve

Most website problems we encounter fall into a few common categories. First, there's the 'digital business card' website. It looks professional enough, but it doesn't generate any work. This is usually because it's built around the business, not the customer. We fix this by rebuilding the site around what people actually search for. For Caledonian Tourers, this meant creating separate pages for people browsing campervan destinations and those ready to hire one. It's about matching your pages to the searcher's intent.

Second is local invisibility. You can be the best tradesperson or service provider in your area, but if you don't appear in Google's local results and on Maps, you're handing work to your competitors. For businesses like East Fife Garage Services or Direct HGV Driver Training, a strong local presence is everything. We achieve this through careful website optimisation, managing your Google Business Profile, and ensuring your business details are consistent everywhere online.

Finally, there's technical drag. The website is slow, looks terrible on a phone, or is riddled with underlying errors. These issues frustrate users and actively harm your rankings. We treat speed and a clean technical base as non-negotiable foundations. A site that works perfectly for both humans and search engines is the minimum standard for effective SEO today.

Why our case studies don't have hockey-stick graphs

You’ll see plenty of agencies showcasing dramatic graphs where traffic shoots up. We intentionally don’t do that. The results are there, but they live inside the client’s private analytics, not on our public website. A simple traffic graph, shown without context, is a vanity metric. It doesn't tell you if that traffic came from the right country, if it was genuine human visitors, or if it led to a single pound of new business.

Our focus is on the metrics that actually affect your bottom line: the number of phone calls, the quote requests through your contact form, the direct online sales. We track these as 'conversions'. An increase in targeted, relevant traffic that converts is success. A huge, meaningless spike in anonymous visitors is just noise. We'll set up the tracking for you and show you how to see the real-world impact for yourself. This transparent, no-nonsense approach is core to how we work, and it's the same principle behind our ethical reputation management service. We're here to build a sustainable, valuable asset for your business, not to generate flashy charts with quick tricks that don't last.

What happens after the website is live?

Launching a new or redesigned website isn't the finish line; it’s the start of the actual race. Your competitors are working on their sites, and Google's algorithms are always evolving. A website needs ongoing attention to perform, much like a vehicle needs regular servicing to stay reliable. This is where the real growth happens.

After the launch, we shift into a continuous cycle of monitoring, analysis, and improvement. We track your rankings for important keywords, find new content opportunities, and keep the site's technical health in top shape. We watch for changes in the way search works, like the increasing importance of AI-driven search, and adapt your strategy accordingly. This isn't about just keeping the lights on; it's about actively building on the foundation we've laid.

This ongoing work is structured into our monthly SEO plans. For a predictable cost, we become your dedicated digital partner. The £199/month plan covers the essentials of monitoring and maintenance. Our £399 and £799 plans allow for more proactive work, such as creating new landing pages, building content, and earning valuable links. This turns your website from a static expense into a dynamic, lead-generating engine for your business.
