Privacy policy

This explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It is written to be read, not to hide anything.

Who we are

BMR Digital (bmrdigital.co.uk) is a UK website design and SEO business. For data protection purposes we are the data controller for information submitted through this website. You can contact us using the contact form or by emailing hello@bmrdigital.co.uk.

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry or request a website review, we collect the details you give us: your name, business name, email address, phone number if you choose to provide it, your website address, your location and what you want help with. Callback requests also collect your phone number and preferred days and times so we can arrange the call you requested. A callback request does not confirm an appointment.

We also store your cookie preference in your browser so the consent banner does not reappear on every page. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.

No third-party analytics or advertising trackers currently run on this website. If we enable optional analytics in future, they will only load after you accept them in the cookie banner, and this policy will be updated first.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry, arrange and make a callback you requested, prepare the review you asked for and provide services you engage us for. Our lawful bases are your consent when you submit a form, and legitimate interests or contract performance when we work with you.

We do not sell your data, and we do not add you to a marketing list without asking.

Where your data is stored

Enquiries are stored securely in our website's database, hosted on our cloud platform provider. Access is restricted to the business owner. Our providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses apply.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months so we can pick up a conversation where it left off. Client records are kept for as long as we work together and for six years afterwards where required for tax and accounting.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@bmrdigital.co.uk and we will action it within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

See our cookie policy for what we set and how to change your choice.
